TRAINING

While training, students will take part in skill building activities and league play 1-2 times per week. Through focused skill refinement, high-intensity drills and team challenges, players will grow their volleyball skills, court IQ, and self-confidence to perform at their highest level of play. 

Sample Training Agenda:

Tuesday/Thursday Times* (3:30-4:30/5:30-6:30)

3:30pm-3:45pm-Conditioning/Plyometrics

3:45pm-4:00pm-Ball control

4:00pm-4:30pm- Game play

*Training session time depends on Wave of play.

Components of Training:

  • Students will develop strength, speed, agility, endurance, and flexibility through age-appropriate workouts and fun, challenging drills. The focus will be on proper technique, and injury prevention, to improve athletic performance and foster confidence on the court and beyond.

  • Students will learn and practice passing, serving, setting, hitting, offense/defensive strategies, and court movement through fun drills and game play. With a focus on building confidence, teamwork, and solid technique, players of all experience levels will grow their skills and love for the game.

  • Team play gives our participants the chance to apply the skills they learn in drills to real situations on the court. Team play encourages communication, decision-making, and strategy. Tournament style play gives students a stronger sense of the game as a whole.
